Oval spacerIt is a solid metal gasket with a cross-sectional shape of an oval shaped by forging and heat treatment and machining of metal materials, which has a radial self-tightening sealing effect, and is a kind of standard R-type metal ring gasket, and its principle of action is that the cushion is in contact with the inner and outer parts of the flange trapezoidal groove (mainly the outer side), and forms a sealing effect by compression.

At high pressures and temperatures, toothed composite washers are ideal for sealing flange connections under extreme operating conditions. They combine the good adaptability of soft material gaskets with the high stability of metal gaskets.
The grooved liner is a metal round gasket with a 45° groove profile. The profiled sealing surface is covered with a soft layer of material such as graphite, fibrous material or PTFE foil. Operating temperature from -200°C to +1000°C. In this way, the seals can reliably withstand pressures of up to 400 bar.
Performance characteristics of metal toothed gasket:
● Low preload, even in the environment with high pressure, it has a good sealing effect, especially suitable for high temperature, high pressure, and the occasion of alternating working conditions, it is an ideal replacement for traditional metal wound gaskets and metal coated gaskets.
● The pure metal toothed gasket is easy to damage the flange surface, so the flange sealing surface needs to be processed when replacing the gasket.
● It can be combined with graphite, PTFE and other non-metallic materials to achieve better use effect.

The octagonal metal ring pad is matched with the flange groove mainly in surface contact, and although it is not easy to achieve a tight fit with the flange groove compared with the oval ring pad, it can be used again, and the cross-section is made of straight lines and is easy to process. At the same time, the hardness of the octagonal metal ring pad material should be 15~20HB lower than that of the flange surface.
